Get to Know Dr. Stacey McDowell, DMD
Dr. Stacey McDowell spent her earlier years in Fairburn, GA. Dr. Stacey began her higher education at Georgia State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2010. As a recipient of the United States Navy Health Services Collegiate Program (HSCP) she obtained her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) from Dental College of Georgia (formerly known as Medical College of Georgia) in 2017. Upon graduating she served as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy for four years, where she provided exceptional and gentle dental treatment to those serving in the Navy. She was stationed in Norfolk, VA and Parris Island, SC. It was during her years of service in the Navy that she had the opportunity to meet people from all over the country further learning the severity and prominence of dental anxiety, lack of access to care, and affordable dentistry. This only strengthened her drive and commitment to continue to be a compassionate, gentle, and an affordable dentist. Dr. Stacey always strives to provide her patients with a comfortable, relaxing, and educational experience.
After successfully completing her Navy commitment, Dr. Stacey began in private practice in the Atlanta area, before finding her forever home here at Villa Rica Family Dental. She enjoys researching the newest dental technology, learning new techniques within the dental field, and remaining current on dental studies to better serve her patients.
Beyond her passion for dentistry and caring for her patients, Dr. Stacey enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys cooking new recipes, bike riding, kayaking, and cheering on her children in various sports and arts. She and her husband (Bryan) have quite a rambunctious household with three daughters, three sons, two cats, and a bearded dragon.
